I can get about $100 an hour per truck(i make ~$10 with insurance, truck cost, and paying an employee). Your best bet to get work is to be a sub contractor for a big dump truck company until you get a big enough fleet to work one site alone(20-30 trucks). Solo owner operators are extremely common.
